Campaigns are serious business.  The campaign for Seneca County District Attorney is no exception.  There are many important issues such as honesty, integrity, accessibility, accountability, and experience that need to be fairly and intelligently addressed during this campaign.

With all of the above said and duly noted, it doesn't mean that I can't have a little fun at my expense and raise public awareness at the same time by adding one more weighty (pun intended) issue to the race:  How many pounds can Bob lose?   It comes down to this, the doctor says I'm at a perfect weight for a person 6' 11".  The problem is that I'm only 5" 11".

So until the election I'm going to lose a little weight and try to raise awareness on the issues of animal cruelty and animal rescue at the same time.  I love my dogs, so I have decided to pledge to the Seneca County SPCA and the Beverly Animal Shelter the sum of $10 per organization per pound that I lose.

The need to protect and save animals is particularly great in the present economic climate.  I urge anyone who can to consider making a similar pledge or to just make a donation to the Seneca County SPCA and/or the Beverly Animal Shelter.  Please note that this idea of mine is NOT an endorsement of my campaign by either organization.  Your donation can be sent to either or both organizations at the following addresses:
