
MEET BOB & HIS FAMILY
Bob & Sandy Mascari will be celebrating their 24th wedding anniversary in January 2010. Bob has been an attorney for over 27 years and has over 23 years experience trying felony criminal cases. He currently works as the Chief Assistant District Attorney in Madison County after previously serving over seven years as the First Assistant District Attorney in Seneca County. Sandy is a graduate of Le Moyne College (BS ’81) and is the Director of Accounts Payable at Upstate Medical Center where she has worked for twenty-five years.
They have three children: Tim (23) is a graduate of the College at Brockport (BS ‘08) where he played baseball. As a pitcher, he is among the school’s career leaders in several categories. In his senior year, he won a Regional Gold Glove Award for his fielding abilities and was named to the SUNYAC All-Academic Team. He has worked for the past year at Upstate Medical, coaches JV baseball at Onondaga Central, and is presently studying for the LSAT and plans to attend law school in the fall of 2010.
Mike (18) just graduated this year from Westhill High School (‘09) and is attending the College at Oneonta where he plays baseball. In high school, Mike was consistently on the honor roll and earned All-League honors in football, basketball, and baseball. In baseball, he was three-time All-Central New York as a center fielder including an appearance on the first team in his senior year and capped off his high school career by being named third team All-State.
Kelly (14) is in 9th Grade. She does well in school, loves music, and is active in basketball and softball. As an 8th Grader, she pitched and batted clean-up for the Westhill JV softball team. She will be playing with the varsity softball team this year.
Bob & Sandy are proud to be the primary care-givers for Bob’s Mom who resides with them. They also number among their family Morgan & Molly - their Yellow Lab and Beagle - who for the most part rule the house.
Bob is a Third Degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a fifteen year member of the Lions Club. His community involvement has centered on years of coaching baseball and basketball as well as serving on several baseball Boards of Directors in various capacities including Secretary and Treasurer. His long involvement in sports led to him being named the Pastime Athletic Club Sportsman of the Year in 2006. He has spent the last seven years as an assistant baseball coach at Westhill High School during which time the team under Coach Bob Weismore has won five league championships (2003, 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009), four sectional titles (2004, 2005, 2007, 2009), two regional championships (2004, 2009), and one state championship (2009).
Bob is a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy (‘74), Le Moyne College (BS Accounting ‘78), and the University of North Carolina School of Law (JD ‘81). He also holds a Masters in Accounting from Syracuse University (‘91).
